Read Joan’s report:

“There were residents from the Ranch Viejo community airing their concerns about the possible crime, tunnel graffiti and the close proximity of the trailsto their back yards.  Also positives with the direct access for neighborhoodsand the ability for students to walk bike to school.

I was pleased to hear of the plans for separate trails for horses.  The existing trails are so beautiful that I’m hoping keeping some may be possible.

Trailer parking seems to be in limbo at this time, because of the private ownership of land scheduled for commercial on Richards road although Petchesky’smay be donating land for parking.  There is no trailer parking at the fire station for Segment 3.  Attached the proposed map.

Julie Belt, I did ask your question regarding tunnels.  The tunnel’s height will be 8 feet high when built.  That’s as high as they can be constructed taking into consideration the elevation of this land.

Thank you so much Colleen Baker for your work to insure horses will be in theoriginal planning phase of this trail system. I’m sure the Petchesky’s are probably smiling down on us!”
