Rudy Lara Jr. offers 3 clinics in summer 2019 Trainers Series at NNMHA!

May 4, July 6 and September 14

Rudy will be covering Western Dressage and Working Equitation progressing from the introductory levels. Don’t miss out on this chance to ride or audit these clinics with this exceptional trainer and horseman.

Limited to 10 riders. NNMHA membership required for riders but you may join the day of the clinic: $25 individual/$30 family. Auditing is open to all.
Deadline to register – 2 weeks prior to clinic dates.

Talented horseman and trainer Rudy Lara Jr is the winner of Colt Starting USA’s 2019 – Rocky Mountain Expo and Western Heritage Classic, Peoples’ Choice award in the Gimme Shelter Rally for Rescues and Finalist in Buck Brannaman Pro/Am Roping.

Clinics will feature

Foundations of Western Dressage: you’ll discover how the patterns and practices of this discipline can refine their horses’ carriage, coordination, and cooperation.  In addition, you will learn how to set up and use a Dressage arena to practice the various patterns and exercises.  Anyone can work at the intro level… walk, trot.

Working Equitation: Working equitation is a hot new sport in the U.S. Find out how working equitation can improve your horse and make you a better rider. Working equitation showcases the skills and riding techniques developed in countries around the world to work cattle and perform other ranch chores.

La  Garrocha: an introduction to the art of Spanish Garrocha. The rider will learn the basics of using the traditional pole of the vaqueros to develop stronger communication with the horse. Ride with seat and leg cues and develop a natural rhythm and stronger bond with your mount. You will learn to “dance” with your horse.

Both disciplines will aid riders of all types working off body and leg, leading you to a better seat and gentle hands, bonding horse and rider together in softness.

Space is limited and the price is a swinging deal, so register promptly.  You must be an NNMHA member to register to ride.
