Ride into history! Join Santa Fe Horse Coalition for a maiden ride on Santa Fe’s new El Camino Real Trail on Saturday, June 2, 2018, to celebrate the opening of the newest segment of the El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro National Historic Trail.  In conjunction with a celebration of National Trails Day, we are hosting 2 rides:

Ride 1
The 5.5-mile trail ride (11 miles RT) departs at 9 am from the Caja del Rio Headquarters Well parking area off Forest Road 24,  and end at Dead Dog Trailhead on Old Buckman Road where the ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 11:30 am.

Ride 2
This is a shorter ride,  a 6-mile round trip. Depart Dead Dog Trailhead at 9 am and we will meet riders from HQ Well at the halfway point, riding with them back to Dead Dog for the ceremony by 11:30 am.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Santa Fe Horse Coalition will provide water and a light lunch for riders, and water for the horses, before the return ride back to Headquarters Well for riders from Ride 1, or at the end of the ride for riders from Ride 2.

Sign-up for the rides by contacting Julie Belt at juliabelt@gmail.com to get on the list for Ride 1 or Ride 2 so we know who to look for that day.  If you have any questions or need more information, feel free to call Julie at 850-621-6811 or email her at the above address.
